GENERAL STUDIES (B.S.)

The Bachelor of Science in General Studies major is designed for those students who desire a degree offering the opportunity to have breadth rather than preparation for a particular field of work. The emphasis of this major is on distribution rather than concentration, enabling students to use both inter-college and interdepartmental combinations for courses (cognates) that will provide a broad pattern of educational experience. For some students the General Studies major may provide a broad background for later, more specialized, study or training.

INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES (B.S./B.A.)

The Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies major provides an option for the exceptionally talented student who wishes to pursue a particular area of study not available through the structured major and minor programs. Students with high motivation, an exceptional background, or an unusual combination of talents and interests may find this degree program useful in attaining their goals.
