Admission in Social Science at Sejong University

Admission Criteria
An international applicant for undergraduate admission to Sejong University must have a high school diploma or a certificate of formal education that covers 12 years. Applicants must also meet ONE of the requirements listed below
Requirements
An international applicant whose parents do not have Korean citizenship and are not permanent residents in Korea must meet one of the following requirements:
- The applicant has passed the 4th level of the Korean Language Aptitude Test (TOPIK);
- The applicant has completed a Korean language course in a domestic or foreign Korean language institute for a minimum of one year;
- The student speaks Korean fluently. In which case, the student must receive approval from Sejong University.
※ If the applicant or his/her parents previous nationality was Korean and the applicant does not have Korean citizenship, the requirements above apply if the applicant’s citizenship changed before completing elementary school or 6th grade level education in Korea.

Admission Schedule
Sejong University accepts on-line applications, an English test and notification of final candidates in October and November.
Application : Required Documents
- Application form (including two passport photos)
- Application form for screening
- Graduation diplomas or enrollment certificates as well as elementary, middle and high school transcripts.

Documents must be translated into Korean, placed on A4-sized paper and notorized. Applicants must submit translated documents with the original documents.

- Certificate of nationality
- Alien Registration Card
- Korean language aptitude test scores or a certificate issued by a Korean language institute, showing that the applicant has studied
Korean for a minimum of one year (An applicant who fails to meet the requirements must pass a Korean language aptitude test
conducted by Sejong University.)
- Written consent referring to academic records and scholastic transcripts (download at ):
Fill out and submit the number of foreign middle and high schools attended
-Certificate of Financial Guarantee (for visa application)
(1) bank balance certificate exceeding more than $10,000 that has been in the account for over one month
(2) currency exchange or remittance document of more than $10,000 sent to Korea
(3) certificate of employment or certificate of business registration (amount of yearly or monthly income must be written)
(4) documents proving taxation of property
